Kellie Booth

Director of Marketing, Media and Athlete Engagement

Kellie Booth joins CavFutures with three years experience in sports video production. Her previous roles included Video Coordinator for the Cornell University athletic department where she focused on creative video content and assisted with ESPN live broadcasts. She also served as a content creator for Athletux, an equestrian focused digital marketing agency.

Kellie is a Charlottesville native, and grew up a UVA sports fan before attending Cornell University for her undergraduate degree. While attending Cornell University, she also captained the Cornell Women’s Varsity Polo team. Additionally, she spent time developing her interest in sports as the Director of Video for the student-led Big Red Sports Network. As a student at Cornell, Kellie studied Sociology with a focus on gender inequity in sports media. Her studies inspired her to pursue a career in athletics and contribute to the growing support for female athletes.

After graduating from Cornell University, Kellie attended UVA and used her final year of eligibility to play polo as a graduate transfer. While at UVA she completed an accelerated master’s program, and received her M.S. in Marketing and Business Management at the McIntire School of Commerce.

Kellie is proud to have returned to her hometown and to remain close to her family in Charlottesville. She lives with her sister and their yellow lab Pudge, named for her and her sister’s favorite baseball player growing up, Ivan ‘Pudge’ Rodriguez. She spends her free time as an assistant coach for Virginia Polo Center high school team.

Emma Chapman

Systems Coordinator

Emma Chapman joined CavFutures in October following her completion of the Master’s of Commerce degree at the University of Virginia. She had planned on moving back to her home state of Massachusetts after graduating as a double-hoo, but deferred those plans after she becoming inspired by the hands-on nature of CavFutures' startup environment.

Emma grew up in Concord, Massachusetts, where she developed her love for Boston’s sports teams, particularly the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. She participated in and watched many sports growing up, and found them to be her favorite community-building activity. She moved with her family to Charlottesville before the start of her junior year of high school and, before beginning college at Lehigh University where she would pursue an undergraduate degree in finance.

She then returned to Charlottesville when she transferred to the University of Virginia after two years. At UVA, she studied history and economics which allowed her to explore a wider range of interests at a bigger school. She gravitated towards coursework including classes like American Economic History, Markets and Investing, and Capitalism and Slavery. Following her undergraduate degree, she wanted more finance-specific courses, and returned to UVA to complete her M.S. in Finance at the McIntire School. While attending UVA's McIntire School of Commerce she honed her systems and operations skills which have proved valuable in her new role.

Emma’s love of sports and UVA led her to take a position at CavFutures, rather than pursue a more finance-specific path. She still plans to move back to her home state and work in finance, but is enjoying experiencing all Charlottesville has to offer outside of the student experience. She spends her free time with friends and family, enjoying UVA games, going to the farmer’s market, trying new restaurants, and taking care of her many plants.

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Caroline joined the U.S. Navy and spent eight years active duty as a Naval Flight Officer. She accrued over 1,300 combat hours as an aviator and finished her commitment as a Foreign Liaison Officer stationed at the Pentagon.
